OpenAI announced an expanded ServiceNow partnership that connects ServiceNow business context and workflow actions into ChatGPT, with further plans across app development, cybersecurity, and voice assessment. On 28 October 2026 OpenAI said it is expanding its ServiceNow partnership to bring more OpenAI models and agents into ServiceNow products and to connect ServiceNow workflows with ChatGPT and Codex, building on the January partnership. A new ServiceNow integration brings business context and workflow actions into ChatGPT—for example finding similar incidents, assessing change risk, and updating a ServiceNow record in the same conversation—while customers connect their own instance and Action Fabric enforces existing rules and permissions.

Planned work spans three areas: application development (Codex in ServiceNow’s AI Workflow Factory; OpenAI models powering Build Agent and Autonomous Engineer); cybersecurity (a joint solution combining OpenAI cyber capabilities with ServiceNow asset, identity, and business context); and voice (an OpenAI-powered experience in ServiceNow’s Super Intelligence Control Tower to describe use cases aloud and fill assessment fields). ServiceNow plans to give all employees ChatGPT Work and Codex, beyond engineering, and to use OpenAI in internal security work; OpenAI says it also uses ServiceNow workflows in its operations.

Availability per OpenAI: the ServiceNow MCP plugin is in the OpenAI marketplace today, with enhanced capabilities expected by end of 2026; Control Tower voice in Q1 2027; OpenAI-powered security capabilities in early access January 2027 and GA in Q2 2027; Codex in AI Workflow Factory expected in 2027. Treat dates as publisher roadmap, not independent confirmation of ship status.
