OpenAI expands Oracle partnership to bring Oracle apps into ChatGPT
OpenAI said it is expanding its partnership with Oracle to bring Oracle applications and data into ChatGPT and to power new Oracle offerings with OpenAI models. Highlights include Oracle AI Workspace in development, AI Security Mesh, an SMB Bundle, App Composer, and U.S. Marketplace purchasing of the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work. Active-user figures in the post are vendor claims.

On October 27, 2026, OpenAI said it is expanding its partnership with Oracle to bring Oracle applications and data into ChatGPT and to power new Oracle products with OpenAI models and tools, aiming to help businesses run core operations, build applications, and strengthen security. The move builds on commercial ties across the OpenAI API, ChatGPT Work, and Codex. OpenAI cites Oracle figures of 130,000 active ChatGPT users and more than 95,000 active Codex users, and says Oracle’s recruiting team cut market-research prep from two to four days to 15–20 minutes with ChatGPT Work—vendor claims.
On the ChatGPT side, Oracle is developing Oracle AI Workspace to integrate Oracle apps and data so people can describe goals and complete approved workflows in one place (e.g., finance close under org permissions). Oracle also announced Oracle AI Security Mesh (OpenAI cyber models with Oracle-managed testing infrastructure), an Oracle AI SMB Bundle (ChatGPT Business and Codex plus Oracle apps and recurring OCI credits), and Oracle App Composer (build apps with Codex and approved Oracle data/workflows on OCI). U.S. Oracle customers can buy the OpenAI API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work through Oracle Marketplace using existing procurement and eligible Universal Credits.
