Cloudflare previews Clairic extraction model on Workers AI at $0.10/M input tokens

Cloudflare says System One extraction model Clairic is in Workers AI preview as @cf/cloudflare/clairic, returning typed extract/compute/estimate/forecast values in one pass; Changelog lists $0.10 per million input tokens with no output charge and open weights planned soon.

Cloudflare’s blog and Developers Changelog say Clairic, a System One extraction model, is available in Workers AI preview as @cf/cloudflare/clairic. The company positions it for structured jobs whose answers cannot be listed up front—invoice totals, delivery dates, days late, repair costs. A request is a state (text plus up to four optional images) and a map of typed fields; Clairic answers in one forward pass without generating text tokens.

Supported field types include text (spans with offsets), number, date/time/datetime, duration, list, estimate (distribution inside declared bounds with median and 80% interval), and forecast (per-step ahead estimates; Changelog caps at 64 steps). Scalars include p_null and confidence. Pricing is $0.10 per million input tokens with no output-token charge; REST and AI Gateway are supported. Cloudflare intends to release open weights soon and calls the endpoint an early checkpoint: one- and two-step arithmetic is relatively reliable, long dependent chains and wide table aggregates are not, estimates need evidence in the input, and forecasting is basic and not a substitute for domain time-series models.

The blog contrasts Clairic with decision models Clef/Jev and LLMs, and reports an internal Clairic→Clef→GLM-5.3 cascade finishing in about 19.3s versus about 61.7s using GLM-5.3 for every step, with extraction and decision under a second combined. Those figures are vendor-reported and should be rechecked on reader workloads.
