MiniMax launches M3.1 Flash: agent-focused cut to $0.15/M input tokens

MiniMax released MiniMax M3.1 Flash, saying the anonymous Space Bunny that processed 200T+ tokens was an early build; it cites leading-tier agent/coding/computer-use scores, nearly 3× faster online inference, ~70% lower usage cost versus its predecessor, and flat pricing of $0.15 input / $0.60 output / $0.015 cached per million tokens.

MiniMax says MiniMax M3.1 Flash is generally available and that Space Bunny—which processed more than 200 trillion tokens while operating anonymously—was an early version. The company claims a generational jump on agentic tasks, coding, computer use, and cybersecurity, nearly 3× faster online inference, and 70% lower usage cost. Vendor-quoted scores include strong AutomationBench-AA placement; 76.2 on BankerToolBench; 73.7% on DeepSWE v1.1; 61.7 on OSWorld V2 and 29.6 on Agents’ Last Exam (first among Chinese models on both, per MiniMax); and 82% on CyberGym. It also cites 200+ TPS peak output with P50 consistently above 170 TPS.

Flat pricing is listed as $0.15 input, $0.60 output, and $0.015 cached input per million tokens, with a claimed 70% lower overall usage cost on agentic tasks versus the predecessor. M3.1 Flash is available via the MiniMax API, M Plan, and MiniMax Code; model weights will be released later (no specific date in this post). A higher-intelligence Pro variant is also previewed as coming later.
