Mistral launches Voxtral 3 voice-agent stack: 50+ language transcription, expressive TTS and a realtime SDK, self-deployable
Mistral's Voxtral 3 family includes Voxtral Small/Mini Transcribe 3 for 50+ languages (Mini is 4B parameters at $0.0035/min), realtime transcription under 500 ms, Voxtral Mini TTS 3 for 35+ languages and 50+ dialects at $13 per million characters, and a voice-agent SDK that chains listening, reasoning, tool calls and speech, via an EU-hosted API or self-deployment.

Mistral announced Voxtral 3, a family of speech-to-text and text-to-speech models plus a voice-agent SDK aimed at realtime multi-step conversations for contact centers, service desks, virtual assistants and hands-free copilots. Mistral says it is available through its EU-hosted API or for self-deployment, letting organizations control where audio is processed and whether conversations are retained.
Voxtral Transcribe 3 expands to 50 languages, including the 24 official EU languages and several low-resource Asian and Indic languages, with diarization, context biasing and end-of-turn detection that combines acoustic and semantic cues; the Mini model has 4B parameters and costs $0.0035 per minute. Mistral says the Small model beats Whisper, Scribe v2 and Gemini 3.5 Transcribe on FLEURS multilingual and diarization benchmarks, and that Voxtral Realtime Transcribe 3 runs under 500 ms latency in 35+ languages; these comparisons are vendor-run.
Voxtral Mini TTS 3 comes in batch and realtime modes for 35+ languages and 50+ dialects, adapts emotion, pacing and emphasis to context, and costs $13 per million characters; Pro Voice can adapt a speaker's style from about 30 minutes of audio. The SDK chains transcription, a reasoning model, client and server tool calls and speech into one streaming pipeline, which The Decoder reports is built on LiveKit.
