Grok Bot’s dedicated mailbox can handle receipts and replies; incoming-mail automation needs a routine

Grok Bot’s Email plugin lets users claim a mail.grokbot.com address to receive, search and summarize mail, and send messages at their direction. Each user can have one address shared across their personal Bots; incoming mail does not wake a Bot on its own.

Users can ask a Bot to claim an address, choose a name and approve the card, or create one in the Email plugin on desktop or mobile. For Cursor teams, an administrator must first enable Agent Email, which is off by default. The address belongs to the user and works in their own Bot chats and routines, not Slack threads or someone else’s conversation with a Bot. A Team Bot has no shared team mailbox.

It provides a separate destination for receipts, newsletters and reports without requiring an existing Gmail or Outlook mailbox for that mail. Documented uses include summarizing incoming messages, sending requested digests or updates, and collecting verification codes or links for service sign-ups with the user’s permission. The address cannot be renamed or deleted separately, and retired addresses are never reassigned.

Acting on incoming mail requires a user-created routine. Routines can filter by sender address or domain and, by default, run only for senders that pass standard email authentication checks; they cannot filter by subject. Mail that fails spam or virus scans never triggers a routine, and its body and attachments are not retained. The apps have no inbox view or new-mail notifications: users ask a Bot to retrieve mail, and very recent messages may not yet appear in search.

Sending or replying requires the user’s instructions in chat or a routine; otherwise the Bot shows the full draft and asks. Some sends still require confirmation with Auto-review enabled, and instructions inside received mail do not count as user permission. If a connected Gmail or Outlook account could also handle a send, the Bot asks which account to use.

Messages support up to 10 attachments, no more than 10 MB each and 25 MB combined. Excess incoming attachments are skipped, and executable files cannot be sent. An email can have up to 50 recipients, but newsletters and first-contact messages go to one person each and include a one-click unsubscribe link.

General Grok Bot access is included with paid individual Cursor plans and Teams, or available through eligible SuperGrok or X Premium+ subscriptions and self-serve Grok Business seats. Included usage resets weekly; additional work can incur charges when on-demand usage is enabled. The mailbox guide does not give a separate email-plan price or a complete regional availability matrix, and team enablement still applies.
